Jason Selvig is a man in love, and he hopes to gain the public's support in stumping up a $5,000 dowry that will enable the obscure actor to meet and eventually marry his true love – Avril Lavigne.
According to the Toronto Sun, Selvig has enabled a Kickstarter account in order to make his biggest dream come true. "I'm asking for $5,000. That's for me to fly to L.A., put me up, allow me to enter a club that she'll be at, talk to her, and take her out for the time of her life," says Selvig on his Kickstarter promo video.
"Personally I think she's worth a little bit more than $5000," he continues, generously. "But having a donation goal of infinity-million dollars seems a little unobtainable."
Lavigne is currently dating Brody Jenner, Kim Kardashian's half-brother, but when she sees baby-faced Selvig and his proclamation of true love, she may rethink her current situation – or just file a restraining order.
With 28 days left of his campaign, Selvig currently has five backers and a not-so-grand total of $65. Will he meet his goal and get to propose to the love of his life? We kinda want him to.
